The majority of patients do not experience any significant pain, however, analgesic medications can be given as needed for post operative discomfort.
Some patients develop swelling and/or bruising around the eyes. This generally subsides in the first 2-5 days after surgery. Cold compresses will help minimize and reduce the bruising and any discomfort. Absorbable sutures are generally used inside the nose and do not need removal. Any external sutures, if required, are removed in 5-8 days. Nasal dressings and splints are also removed at 5-10 days after surgery.
The real result, according the criticism of the surgery, can be visible also after few months till one year.

A blepharoplasty operation usually requires 1–2 hours to complete. The surgery follows the natural lines and shapes of the eye, the incisions are carefully hidden and not visible after the surgey.
Post-operatively, the initial swelling and bruising consequent to the surgery will subside and resolve with 1–2 weeks. Sutures will be removed in 4 – 5 days after which will be possible to use make up products. Contact lens can be used after a couple of weeks.

Occasionally, for extremely large pendulous breasts, the nipple and areola may need to be removed and transplanted to a higher position on the breast. Sport activities should be avoid just after the surgey, and the patient should wears a sporting-bra.

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation and augmentation mammoplasty are plastic surgery terms for the breast-implant and the fat-graft mammoplasty approaches used to increase the size, change the shape, and alter the texture of the breasts of a woman. Incisions are made in inconspicuous areas to minimize visible scarring. Incisions vary based on the type of breast implant, degree of enlargement desired, your particular anatomy and patient-surgeon preference. After the incision is made, a breast implant is inserted into a pocket either Under the pectoral muscle (a submuscular placement), or directly behind the breast tissue, over the pectoral muscle (a submammary/ subglandular placement). The method for inserting and positioning breast implants depends on the type of implant, degree of enlargement desired, your body type and your surgeon’s recommendations. The surgery lasts around 1-2 hours. Breast augmentation results are immediately visible. After 10-14 sutures are removed. Over time, post-surgical swelling will subside and incision lines will fade. Liposuction

Also known as fat modeling, liposculpture, suction lipectomy or simply lipo, is a cosmetic surgery operation that removes fat from many different sites on the human body. Areas affected can range from the abdomen, thighs and buttocks, to the neck, backs of the arms and elsewhere. Several factors limit the amount of fat that can be safely removed in one session. Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity or a substitute for proper diet and exercise. It is also not an effective treatment for cellulite the dimpled skin that typically appears on the thighs, hips, and buttocks or loose saggy skin. Liposuction can be performed alone or along with other plastic surgery procedures, such as a facelift, breast reduction or a tummy tuck.

The results of liposuction will be long lasting, provided you maintain a stable weight and general fitness. Liposuction is performed through small, inconspicuous incisions and can be made under local anesthesia, intravenous sedation, and general anesthesia. Thin hollow tube, or cannula, is inserted through the incisions to loosen excess fat using a controlled back and forth motion. The dislodged fat is then suctioned out of the body using a surgical vacuum or syringe attached to the cannula. Your improved body contour will be apparent once the swelling and fluid retention commonly experienced following liposuction subside: these depends from the area threatened, fat quantity and skin properties. After the procedure is important to wear elastic sheath or hose for at least 3-4 weeks to reduce risks and foster recovery.

Tummy Tuck

Also known as abdominoplasty removes excess fat and skin and, in most cases, restores weakened or separated muscles creating an abdominal profile that is smoother and firmer. The surgery involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen in order to tighten the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall. This type of surgery is usually sought by patients with loose or sagging tissues after pregnancy or major weight loss. To a tummy tuck is possible to associate a liposculpture procedure. Surgery lasts 2-3 hours under general anesthesia and can be complete, partial or extensive. Incisions can be easily hidden and will improve aesthetically over time. Draining tubes can be used to reduce some risks for a couple of days. Is suggested a complete rest for at least 1-2 weeks and at least 1 month without practicing sports activities.

Body Countouring

Surgical body contouring following major weight loss removes excess sagging fat and skin while improving the shape of the underlying support tissue. The result is a more normal appearance with smoother contours. Body contouring procedures may include, facelift, breast lift, tummy tuck, lower body lifts, medial thigh lift, brachioplasty (arm lift). Body contouring goals may be achieved in one surgical session or may be more safely performed in stages depending on your overall health, the type and extent of procedures being considered along with the outcome from discussions. Incisions are made around the areola, and in cases vertically down from the breast crease and horizontally along the breast creasearound. After the incisions yhe underlying breast tissue is lifted and reshaped to improve breast contour and firmness, the nipple and areola are repositioned to a natural, more youthful height. If necessary, enlarged areolas are reduced by excising skin at the perimeter. Excess breast skin is removed to compensate for a loss of elasticity. After the surgery sports activities should be avoid for some weeks and is important to wear a sporting bra.

Chin Plasty

Chin surgery, or mentoplasty, is a surgical procedure to reshape the chin either by enhancement with an implant on the bone. Underlying tissue is repositioned, commonly the deeper layers of the face and the muscles are also lifted. Skin is redraped over the uplifted contours and excess skin is trimmed away. A second incision under the chin may be necessary to further improve an aging neck.

The surgery lasts around 2 – 3 hours and is performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia plus sedative. Drainages are used soon after the surgery and maintained for the whole night; face and neck are bandaged. Sutures are removed between the 7th and the 12th day after surgery. Swelling disappear after couple of weeks and patient is social active after 2 – 3 weeks.
